Export formats and sizes
PNG, JPEG, and WebP output from Shotlingo, and which one the app stores want.
Shotlingo exports PNG, JPEG, and WebP. For a store submission the answer is almost always PNG.
Which format to pick
- PNG: lossless, and what both App Store Connect and Google Play Console expect. Screenshots are flat colour and hard-edged type, which is exactly the case PNG handles best and JPEG handles worst.
- JPEG: smaller files, but compression artifacts show up around text edges. Use it for a blog post or a press kit, not for a store upload.
- WebP: good compression with clean edges. Useful for your own website or landing page. Not accepted as a store screenshot.
Dimensions
Each page exports at the pixel dimensions of the device size you selected for the project, so the output already matches what the store asks for. You do not need to resize anything afterwards. If you change the target device, the canvas re-lays out and you should review each page before exporting again.
For the current required pixel dimensions per device, see the App Store screenshot sizes tool.
