Creating your first project
Start a Shotlingo project, pick a device size, and get your first App Store screenshot on the canvas.
A project in Shotlingo holds one set of App Store or Google Play screenshots, plus every language you translate them into. Everything lives in one place, so you never keep 40 separate design files in sync by hand.
Create the project
- 1 Open your Dashboard and select New Project.
- 2 Give the project a name. The app name works well, because you will see it in the project list later.
- 3 Choose a starting template, or start from a blank canvas if you already know the layout you want.
- 4 The editor opens with your first page ready to edit.
Understand pages
Each page is one screenshot in your store listing. The Pages tab in the left sidebar adds, reorders, and duplicates them. Most listings use between 3 and 6 pages, and the first two carry almost all of the conversion weight because they are the ones visible without swiping.
What to do next
- Add your app screenshots from the Uploads tab.
- Wrap them in a device frame from the Mockups tab.
- Write your headline in the Text tab.
- Add target languages in the Languages tab.
How many projects you can keep in the cloud depends on your plan. See the pricing page for the current limits.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Shotlingo runs entirely in the browser. Your projects sync to the cloud so you can pick up on another machine.
Can I start from an existing design?
Yes. Upload your current screenshots in the Uploads tab and build the new layout around them.
